my brother and I bought a new to us 1987 terry resort a few years ago to use just for the races. well we went camping a few times and i loved it. it was a huge step up from the jayco pop up my dad had years ago when i was a kid. dont get me wrong, i loved the pop up, but i like the TT better cause its easier to set up and has a bathroom.

so anyway, i got this TT for a song a couple years back. the previous owner traded it in for a new 5er and was an older fellow according to the dealer. well its now been sitting in my dads field for 3 years now. i just moved home recently and decided to look at the TT pretty closely. everything in it still works. the batteris were dead of course, but theyre fine after being charged. the AC, water heater, fridge....everything works jsut the way it should and this TT is old enough to legally drink alcohol. only problem was that the outside was dingy.it has aluminum siding thats still in fine shape it was just old and discolored. so my dad said "lets paint it" i said "na dad youre crazy" so we painted it anyhow. looks awesome. took 2 coats of oil paint. i did the windows and frame and access doors etc while he painted the main body of the trailer. looks fantastic. all thats left to do is put a few colored stripes on the sides (to match my TV of course) and maybe get a decal or two from cabelas of a duck or a deer or something to spruce it up a tad. ill get some pics after its done raining and see if i can post them. just cant believe how great a 21 years old TT can still look and function. cant wait till friday to take it camping again for the first time in 3 years.

ha, sorry, i was busy camping all week. had a blast even though i had to go by myself. camped a nice state park and did some fishin, had the best steak ive ever had cooked over the campfire. made some great coffee in my perculator........cant figure out how to post pictures. ill get them up though.

the roof is fine. its dirty, i need to clean it well to avoid streaking. its an aluminum skinned roof, cant walk on it. but it doesnt leak at all. only bad thing was when i went to empty my stinky, i found a wasp nest in my slinky and got stung.....oh yeah, im covered in poison ivy too, all par for the cause though.
