Too not break your bank.
Pizza= California Pizza just outside the gate to the left on US17south on the campground, right cheap and good food for the budget minded.
Garden City Beach by the pier off US17 south of OLCG is River City Café, good food, cheaper prices.
Up the road from ocean lakes on SC544 this is road going to OL, Lakewood, Pirate land CG's, from US17 bypass are all the major fast food joints. plus a super wally world. Behind Wally is Ryan's steak house buffet, and several higher end restaurants. Chinese buffet in the shopping center with wally or across the street??
All you eat Crabby Mikes easy $100for 4 of you, buffet with crab legs is close to Ocean lakes.
going towards Myrtle beach on US17 from south side campgrounds are every kind of restaurant you can name or think of.
The mall which is maybe less than 10 miles from Ocean Lakes on US17bypass has brand name restaurants also outside and inside.
South of Ocean Lakes were us17 and US17 bypass intersect is Murrels Inlet & seafood and on the main road are every kind of high end restaurants.
hope this helps

South on Ocean Lakes on Hwy 17 Business is Southern Suppers, which has very good home style food along with seafood. If I remember correctly it was $19.95 and with a coupon it was $16.95 & crablegs were $8.00 more. I will second River City at the Surfside Beach Pier. Nances & Sara J's in the Garden City area have good food also. For those who may like seafood from a local place Mrs. Fish on Broadway off of Oak, near the Old Pavillion parking garage is a
good also. Bubba's across from River City in Surside has some mighty good catfish too. Magoo's Sports Bar on Waccamaw (near Campingworld) has good wings. And they offer wings & shrimp specials on Sunday & Monday's .

Just came back from Myrtle, Lakewood, and ate out with 8 including 2 children 8 and 10. Cracker barrel is a chain, but lots of variety and good prices. The Pizza Hut near to Ocean Lakes has a great buffet to fill up kids. My favorite Italian is Umbertos, at Barefoot Landing, not sure if at Place at the Beach. The best suggestion is to take lots of burgers, pasta, steaks, and cook on the grill. Then treat the family to ice cream. Lunches, and breakfast in, and dinner out or breakfast out and ,... Good luck, watch out for the golf carts.
Thanks to all who have replied thus far! If you have any more suggestions, please feel free. I'm now looking at the restaurants that have been recommended thus far to see if they have websites where I can look at menus, and also to see if there are discount coupons available for them.
Here is a little FYI. When u get there look in the office of your campground for local guide booklets titled THE STRAND and also SUNNYDAYS. These will contain coupons for various eaterys in the area. Gotta catch those early bird specials. The biggest issue you will have will be which one should we try?
Note: We mostly eat out at lunch. These recommendations are based on our lunch time visits
Logan’s Road House
Hwy 17 Bypass
Worth the trip for the dinner rolls alone.
Sea Captains House
Right on the ocean in MB around 30st N. and Ocean Blvd
A perennial favorite
Dagwoods Deli
The one on Hwy 17bus in Surfside.
I recommend the Philly cheesesteak.
Liberty Tap room and grill
7651 Hwy 17 bus in the northern part of Myrtle Beach, about a mile south of the 17's split.
Excellent Grouper sandwich, lots of beers on tap, more a restaurant than a bar atmosphere at lunch time, never been there at night.
The best kept secret in Myrtle Beach and the only buffet I can recommend
Prossiers BBQ in Murrells inlet.
Go for the 11 to 2 lunch buffet, it ain’t fancy, but it’s really good food and it’s cheap. $5.99 for the buffet and $1.50 for sweet tea.
I recommend Thursday for the meatloaf.
Ultimate California Pizza
It’s a local chain, I’m sure there is one up near where your staying, they deliver.
I get the Big Kahuna and ask for extra red sauce .
River City Café
Another local chain owned by the same people as Ultimate California Pizza, The Divine Dining Group. Good place for burgers.
Bubba’s Fish Shack, also a Divine Dining Group Restaurant at the ocean in Surfside.
We get the Grouper finger basket
Note: I have no affiliation with the divine Dining Group.
Thorny’s on Hwy 17 bus in downtown MB. Good Burgers.
See you down the road!

Hi, i live about 2 hours from myrtle beach right off of highway 17, we just stayed at Myrtle 2wice this summer already, stayed at the KOA and this past week Lakewood RV park which is next to Ocean lakes, Im not a big spender on eating out so we do alot od pre planning of meals to eat at CG, maybe do 1 or 2 meals out due to costs. There is a K&W about 5 miles north on Kings Highway on the right as you come back into south myrtle beach, Ocean Lakes is at sunset beach actually. Anyway, Broadway by the beach off 501 has a variety of things to eat, not to bad in price, we like the Nascar cafe, stay away from Kings Of Pizza, worse place I have ever eatin at. The Nascar Cafe has alot of arcade games to play to occupy kids while waiting, great atmosphere. Think last time we went with 4 of us I dropped 60 bucks for food and games. There isnt alot of places there off 544 where ocean lakes is, you need to come back into south Myrtle. If you like a good italian dinner goto Rossi's on Kings Hwy in N. Myrtle Beach, they big name places are always so crowded. Anyway Hope you have fun we always do.
