Aquired a 2001 Lance 1010 with a little water damage, (window above sink and front window, left side skirt) priced accordingly. How many have taken the aluminum siding off of the side? I did on the skirts on the '96 Lance we had, didn't seem too hard of a job. Seems solid enough for now, I plan on doing the major work this winter. Would spruce be a better option than the ponderosa pine? Thanks, Bill

I took and older SunLite Hideaway apart to rehab the nose. It wasn't to bad a job and I only made one mistake. I used steel staples instead of stainless staples. Oh well lesson learned, but it wasn't too bad of a job, just don't try to rush it take your time and do it right. Good Luck.

Welcome back into the fold.
I have no experience with redoing a camper but I would think that any wood with better moisture resistance and structural integrity then pine would be a good upgrade.

You might look into the new plastic/wood products that are out now. They are made to be used on outside decks and can be cut, drilled, glued, screwed or stapled easily. Will never rot. They are expensive if you are doing a deck but for small repairs you won't really notice. I used some in a boat floor repair and it worked well.

Did some more snooping and found more places that need fixed. Will post some pics when I tear into it, maybe it will help someone else down the road.
