Wow what a nice generator. It’s like new. Hardly a scratch on it. It runs our 13.5 btu ac fine. The gen just idols up just a bit to run it. It does seem louder than the little Honda Eu1000i that I’m thinking about selling. The decibel ratings are the same. I don’t see why the yami is louder

That is a great deal.

Just got mine FedEX from Wise Sales. $1089 new no tax, delivery included. Real fast delivery I must say-3 days or so, wasn't expecting that.

The unit feels a tad heavier than you would think for 70lbs at first heft, but truly is easily hoisted up well above waist level. I think it's kind of bottom heavy which alters the feel a bit.

I thought seriously about a 2000W Honda. Like you guys I decided the slight weight increase and $100 was well worth the legitimate ability to fire up an A/C-obviously not possible with the 2000.

Sounds like a really good deal. Good luck. It is a fine generator.

I used my Yamaha EF 2400iS a lot on our recent cross-country trip. Always started on the first pull and ran the AC fine. It was great being able to pull over into a rest stop, crank up the genny, and take a break!

Good buy there. The sound levels on the generators may not be comparable. You need to compare them on the same basis, spound power, sound pressure, free field or at what distance. They seldom will stipulate the basis so it is hard to compare them.

We have to have a generator at the house to run the well incase of a power failure...so we need at least a 5kW with a surge rating of about 5.5kW. So we bought a unit made by Disafter and it is a bit louder and not suited for close quarters usage, but it is not loud for the size compared to my Father in law's old 3.5kW Generac...WOW is that thing loud.

I would have loved to gotten one of the Honda 6.5kW units, but the $$$$ were too many.

Sweet deal! Yes, I always thought ours was a bit loud, too. Not obnoxiously loud, but not something that you want to have running while you're sitting around the campfire.
