There is a F350 V10 lariat 2008 used for sale for 27,000.00 dollars with 7,000 miles.
I am a diesel guy but can you V10 guys tell me about this truck...your thoughts?
Gas MPG ? Under load and without load ?
What kind of weight can I tow?
Is this a good price?
Not a dually but fully loaded.
Horse Power?
Torq ?
Thanks, Britt

Annual towing guides is where you'll be able to look up the tow rating for the truck
I can't help you with the rest.

That would be a decent price for the Lariat. Very nice truck and has same overall tow ratings the diesel has. 362HP, 457 ft lbs Torque.

If you are going to drive say less than 20K miles a year, right now and for the reasonably close, ie next 3-4 yrs I would swag, that truck will be cheaper to run than an equal diesel. If you will be driving MORE than 20-25K miles a yr, then a diesel will be cheaper generally speaking by the time you add in extra interest paid/lost earnings if you did a loan vs paying cash, extra cost of fuel for diesel vs extra for oil changes etc too for diesel vs gas. Please note, this is coming from a diesel prefered person too!

I do not believe that a F350 will pull that trailer you have in your picture. But then who am I to think!

Mine is 06 with 5K Miles. MPG towing rig in sig is 7 mountains to 8 MPG flats with some smaller hills. Unloaded is 12 around town. 14 on highway. 4.30 gears. Might get a bit better with more miles.
Mine is XLT Super Cab and 4X4, auto trans. Paid $25K from dealer last Nov. had 1600 miles on it at the time. This was $1000 less than they were going to wholesale it for. I saw the wholesaler paperwork. They were scheduled to pick it up the day after I bought it.
I'd say $27 could be pretty good depending on whether Crew Cab, Long bed, etc. You can probably negotiate down pretty well in this buyers market. The low MPG is probably the reason it is at the dealer for sale.
This truck tows really well. It has no where near the low end torque of a diesel. But it will pull a 14,000# 5'r up the mountains in NC with no problem. But some of the steeper long grades could see you at 4000 rpm in 3rd gear. The RPM's are no problem for the 3V V10. But you'll need to turn the radio up.

I'd say the price is a bit high for this market - I'd think you could spend just a bit more to get a diesel that will hold its value much better.

Thanks very much for the responce. As always you all are a great help.
Looking for a new or used work truck.
I am not sure about buying a big 1 ton that is gas and not diesel.
Only 7,000 miles for a 2008. As Donn said someone took a beating.
