Yes....Fall is soon upon us here in the North. In fact, this coming weekend is the Annual Bulkley Valley Fall Fair in Smithers, BC.

Tractor pulls, fly-tying, cows, horse pulling, loggin stuff...this Fair will have it all and then some. But...geeez...Fall, already. How did THAT happen? Some leaves are turning and the squirrels are busy with their nuts.

Maybe if you are heading home via #37 you might want to make a note on the diary? Stop in and grab some country life. Or Jams and some pie.

'F' also stands for 'Freedom'! In a month and a half we'll be headed south.

Around here we have the dreaded "W" season all year long! That's the "Work" season! Hate it! Will be another couple years before it passes. Then it's the "S" season all year long!!! Can't wait!!

Folks just dont understand that when you retire,,,there arent enough days in the week to get all the little jobbies done.. we get no holidays, vacations, days off or statutory holidays....every day is Friday but Saturday never comes! Next time around I'm going to get a better education so I dont have to do this again...

I'm just learning this, Skip.

Fall starts Sept. 21, I don't care what name some yokels stick on their festivals. Annual summer fair is the time for the Ox-hauls. Not fall. Summer fair is the time for all to exhibit their produce.

& we don't get 'T' Day until 3 weeks after fall begins.

I'll just start thinking about insulation when September arrives. It won't cool off here until later.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

Gary, you forgot to mention the favorite game of "cow-pie bingo". Not too many fall fairs are without this rousing event. Local black flies look forward to it too!
