I have a 2007 KZ and it only has the 110v radio that comes with the surround sound system. Is there a 12 volt radio I can install and connect it to my speaker system? It is nuts to think I have to run the genny to listen to the radio.

Thanks

Go get a car stereo and mount it in place of your stereo. I am amazed your stereo is 110 and not 12v.

Or for the same money buy a low-wattage pure sinewave inverter and use the radio you already have.

A car stereo is a great idea. I don't want to replace the 110 because it has the dvd player. I have a 12 volt access nearby to wire it into. I could mount the car stereo in the cabinet

Thanks

This is the unit that I installed in our latest trailer. Jensen AWM960 Jensen (or Audiovox) makes several other less expensive, similarly designed units, which can switch 2 speaker pairs on or off (this unit can handle 3), and which do not have built-in DVD players or a remote control. But they all have digital tuning, have motorized ejection (like your truck or SUV CD player) and are more powerful than the cheap units that are usually installed as standard equipment. We are well pleased with the AWM960. I found ours (as well as similar models I installed in previous trailers) on eBay, for significantly less than the list price. As tomlang says, the simplest solution may be an inverter for the unit you already have.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do worry about the inverter being left on by the kids or me.

I like the look of the Jensen wall mount.
