It really does not matter how quiet your generator is. You may have the quietest but the guy next to you will have the loudest. I just don't worry about it. Besides the white noise helps us sleep. We just spent last weekend tailgating at the Texas A&M football game. No hookups in most of the RV lots. Most had loud generators with boards for sound proofing. Same thing when we go to NASCAR, some quiet most loud.

I got back yesterday from the Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway. In Middlebourne WVA. what a great event if you are into dirt track racing that is. I took my Champion along (that is what i bought it for) it performed like I thought it would. It ran my A/C just fine. I Ran it pretty much all day & night on about 15 gallons of gas. from Friday around 4:00pm until 8:00am Monday.I asked my neighbor who was about 25 ft. from me if my generator bothered him & he said no. I told him about it & where to get it & he said he was going to go & get him one. Because he thought mine was that quiet. So I think I may have sold one. I was impressed with mine & will continue to use it this way. thanks to all for their opinions.

Some of those inexpensive 'loud' generators are still quieter than the diesel engines in the trucks used to tow the trailer with. Our diesel van is quite loud.
