Glad to here your unlost.
I had the WW battery box fuse melt down when we had our WW. It seems a 40 amp fuse in a 30 amp inline holder was standard equipment.
I also went to a 40 amp circuit breaker.

I'm not sure about that. It pumped fuel OK. Doesn't the pump shut down when the gears sieze?

Oh, I really don't want to do that. I had a few days where I had to fill up three or four times a day. That's a big bucket of money.

I haven't added it up yet. The fuel was actually cheaper in most places up there than it was at home, but "cheaper" isn't the same thing as "cheap".

I'm guessing the fuel cost somewhere north of $2k. Just a guess.

Start a new thread about your fuel station, but I think you got a bad pump!!!

I never added my fuel bill together for my trip to Disneyworld.. I just thought about the Fun we had and the total is not a factor..

As far as the cost of fuel, thats a close enough guestimate.
It would be more than that in Our old Gasser!!

I agree, draws too much amps due to bad gears.
An inline fuse (especially 30+ Amps) is NOT the way to go, too much resistance. Put a manual reset breaker in there and fix the pump

Let's get one thing straight. MY pump is fine. My trailer's pump may have a problem, but I'm good to go (stones or no stones)!

I looked at the fried portion of the wires again when I got home today. I kept the snipped out portion and left it on my workbench. I had forgotten, but the wires on either side of the fuse weren't necessarily the part that fried. It was the fuse itself that cooked. I couldn't even tell you what size fuse was in there, because the whole body of the fuse had burned away and only the two spade ends remained. The fuse holder was all burned up too.

Anyway, I've been holed up in the trailer at a conference since Thursday evening and the rest of the systems did their job. I didn't touch the fuel pump--I just used a gas jug to start the nightly fires.

I have to wonder if that fuse wasn't already fried from the first "FUEL" pump failure? What you are talking about is just what happened to mine, but everything worked fine for a while until I tried using the pump a second time and then all hell broke loose!

I might have a spare circuit breaker for you....

Quick Epilogue for the plumbing problem (stones).

I returned to the doctor this morning to follow up on the kidney stones (review the labs with him, let him know there's still some soreness, etc.).

The doc wants me to get an ultrasound "to find the rest of them". He said there's almost certainly more in there. The ultrasound would show where they are and what size they are. Then he'll know whether we need to do anything else.

As he was walking out the door I asked him if that's why it still hurt. He looked puzzled came back in and had me drop 'em. It turns out I blew an o-ring passing the last stone, so I get to go in for hernia surgery now.

Oh man Dave when it rains it pours! When I had a kidney stone some 15 years ago I was in Canada and the Doc thought he was a stand up comedian, but I was in so much pain I didn't care. I tell you though that Morphine they gave me sure helped. I still swear that I saw a Scottish Terrier with a big red bow in the hospital corridor when they wheeled me down for some scan or something.
