115000 on my wifes 3.8 LeSabre plugs. My neighbors boy is a GM line tech at a area dealer and he says when the plugs start to fail they do it quick. Much different from the old points/plugs and condenser in those old '50s/'60 cars and trucks. They would sput and sputter usually 'till cold weather and then refuse to start at all.

I changed mine at 100,000 miles. It was still running fine at the time.

2000 Stratus 2.5 129K+ and was running fine when I changed them. I bet they were a bigger pain then your van will be, had to pull the intake and since the plugs go thru the valve covers they had to be pulled to replace the seals for the plug tubes. What a PITA that was, dealer wanted $450 to do the job!

Almost all plugs are platinum from 97 and up and will go 100K easy, but when you do change it needs to be a complete tune up with wires, cap & rotor if equipped.

Your anti-freeze and thermostat should be changed at 100K also!

You people crack me up! "don`t push the manuf. weight ratings beacuse they are optimistic when they make them up" but when it comes to maint. lets push it and see how long the plugs (and whatever else for that matter!) can go before I cause major $$$$$ damage to my truck. I`ve pulled out 100k mile plugs from cars at 60k and there pretty well worn by that point. I have 40k on my V-10 X and they will get replaced around 50-60k. you don`t want to price a Catalytic converter that has failed because of a misfire.

Kevin Dodge is the one that set the 100K plug change, note this is not using the extreme service schedule and for your TV that is the one you need to use. You should go be the book and if you don’t have the owner’s manual and maintenance schedule you can buy one on e-bay very cheap.
