Just wondering if anyone has done high mileage on their plugs without problems. To change them on my van is a real pain i wonder how far I can push it.

I'm at 85,000 miles and haven't had to change any spark plugs. No problems so far!

Had a 1997 Ford F-150 and it went 110,000 before needing to be replaced. But when they fouled I was pulling a trailer and it wasn't a pleasant final 50 miles.

We made it to 116,000 miles on our Chrysler minivan but they looked rough when they were pulled. The van ran smooth before changing them but we did see a difference in mileage after changing them.

I tried to find where the spark plugs were loacted on my RAM 2500 CTD, then remembered that I don't have any, diesel, you know.
How long your plugs last depend on a number of things.
Later model engines with fuel injection, individual ignition coils, high energy electronic ignition, and iridium plugs often can go 70K+ miles on a set of plugs.
I would check your manual and see what Chevy (or GMC) receommmends.
Your performance, emissions, and gas mileage drop gradually as your spark plugs wear. You might not even notice it.
Also, using quality spark plugs in the proper heat range helps. i.e. AC Delco, NGK, Denso, etc.

My Caprice had 120,000 miles on the original Delco plugs (and wires). Until then, it ran perfectly (though they went from that to "barely running" in a hurry.
