I am looking for some really nice places to camp around the ocean around Vancouver and lower down towards the border, maybe even some spots on the us side too.
Look for provincial campgrounds if possible as it save the cash flow a bit.
I am hauling a 25ft fifth wheel and power and sewage is not necessary as I am self sufficient too. So tell me where you go and links would also be really great too. Thanks

With most BC provincial parks you'll be camped in the woods a short walk from the shore. There are a few places where you camp on ocean front dunes. Some places that come to mind (where I've either camped or visited):
Queen Charlotte Islands - north island, Agate Beach (Nagoon sp? Prov Park); closest I can think of to camping right on the shore. There are several forest rec sites with near-beach camping on these islands.
Vancouver Island:
Cape Scott PP - hike in camping on the beach
Malcom Island - community park with camping overlooking the water (inland ocean)
Bamfield - nearby First Nations band operates a campground on dunes (north end of West Coast Trail)
Port Renfrew - another First Nations CG (south end of WCT) on spit
China Beach PP - CG in 2nd growth woods
French Beach PP - CG in older woods with good access to beach
Ruckle PP, Saltspring Island - walk-in sites overlooking ferry boat passage
Rathtrevor PP, Miracle Beach PP - CG in woods
Washington:
Olympic Nat Park - one ocean front campground
County park west of Port Angeles
Washington State Parks - many around Puget Sound, most with short walks to beach. Many are former forts with gun emplacements.
Cape Disappointment SP - north side of Columbia river mouth. Camping just behind ocean front dunes. No views of water, but close.
Oregon State Parks - many
Cape Blanco SP - CG on bluff above ocean in woods

Thanks for your help there ass hat!Should be lucky to have some money invested in your exspensive province when we come to visit.
I amm from Calgary and in my city it is very very hard to find somebody that was actually born and raised here like me, so spare me your provincial imigration******and get off your soap box.

If you don't want to take a ferry, your choices in BC are pretty limited.
There is a small prov. park sandwiched between the water and the railway about half way along Howe Sound on the road to Whistler. I can't think of any other ocean side parks on the BC mainland. There are a couple of options along the Sunshine coast, but that still requires a ferry ride.
Just south of the border, there's a Washington SP, Birch Bay, with near-water camping. There's more as you continue south. You'll have to go to the outer coast if you want beaches, dunes, and breakers.
There are maps for most of the BC parks on their respective pages, giving you an idea of where camping is located relative to roads, trails and water. For Washington parks you need to use their reservation pages to see maps.

Howe Sound - Sea to Sky Highway - I believe the Camp Site (Prov) is Porteau Cove. This was just south of the big rock slide a short time ago. Lighten-up I bet Gary was only trying to give you a good.... energy shot......

Birch Bay is just on the US side of the border, Deception Pass SP is south a bit but very pretty. Porteau is nice but can be noisy due to road construction.
www.discovercamping.ca is the reservation for the PP links. Good maps and location info there too.
Around Vancouver there isn't much ocean camping as it is already full of people living there Sunshine Coast has more - maybe do a loop, Porteau to Porpoise Bay (Sunshine Coast), Saltery Bay (Powell River) then over the Van Island, Rathtrevor (Qualicum area) back over via Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay. Would make a gorgeous ocean trip, lots of different types of beaches and stuff to see.
Wouldn't be that expensive on the ferry - maybe $300-400 but would make a great trip.
