Welcome back, Rodger! Good to hear that the trip went well and was fun. So when do we get the insider's scoop on the factory tour ? Not that I think I'd want it, but any word on the enclosed bathroom in the 190? Any other developments that can be revealed?

Jim, "Be the coffee!"

All I can tell you is the "enclosed" bath is in the works. Everyone was very tight lipped about it. I tried, but couldn't get any more information than that. Jim Hammill said "If I tell you then I will have to kill you" I said that, Ive heard that before and I'm still here, so I will take my chances. He still wouldn't talk, and he is bigger than me.

I will try and get the report done this week.

Rodger,

I seriously doubt that RoadTrek will build a private bath/enclosed bathroom in a 190, it would be nice if they did, and hopefully they will, as the RoadTrek is built nicely, and is a sleek looking vehicle.

Since June 2004 to May 2008 I have been in contact with RoadTrek concerning a private bath/enclosed bathroom in a 190.

Back in July 2005 I had been informed from RoadTrek that they had completed a pilot 190 Popular with a permanent bathroom, and they were conducting market surveys to discern whether there was enough interest in their customer base to invest in this configuration.

RoadTreks initial feed back from Roadtrek owners at a rally was not positive in nature. RoadTrek then chose to put the development on hold until they could get more feed back from RoadTrek owners

I was told that the prototype was a 2004/2005 Chevy RT 190 two seater with a Permanent Bath. I was told that if I had any interest in this unit to let them know, they would contact my preferred dealer to set up a quote I informed Home & Park that we were interested, did contact my local RT dealer was quoted a price, but never heard anymore.

Ron

Have included photo's of the prototype 190 Popular with the Permanent Bath as it was being built back in 2005.

I spent about 45 minutes talking with Jeff, the owner of Rt., and Jim the Pres. and I was pretty much told that when, and if they do it, it would not be made public, and this includes the dealers, until it's ready for production. Now, I got the feeling, even though no one said as much, that it is in the works, I guess only time will tell.

I'm just guessing here, but I think RT saw sales on their 210 model soar once they had incorporated the private bath. They probably feel that they can increase sales of the 190 if they can successfully incorporate a private bath.

I have to confess that it was all those neat pics of Niagara Falls that made me ask about the bathroom....

Jim, "Incontinence hotline. Can you hold, please?"

Roger,

Back in July 2005 it was Jim Hammill who informed me that they had completed a pilot RT-190 with a permanent bathroom, and they were conducting market surveys to discern whether there was enough interest in their customer base to invest in this configuration.

According to Jim RoadTreks initial feed back from RoadTrek owners at a September 2005 rally was not positive in nature of the RT-190 with a Permanent Bathroom. RoadTrek then chose to put the development on hold until they could get more feed back from RoadTrek owners.

Jim asked me if I had an interest in the prototype 2004/2005 RT-190 two seater with a Permanent Bath, if so let him know, it would be sold to me after the rally. I told Jim we were interested, and I spoke with my local RT dealer, had a price on it with a trade in on my 2002 Dodge RT-190P, but never heard anymore.

I feel that there could have been poor communication with either RoadTrek and my local dealer, that could have been the reason I heard no more.

Again, I doubt RoadTrek will built a RT-190 with a Permanent Bath, as of now I believe only EEE who acquired Leisure Travel Vans builds a Permanent Bath in their Chevy Free Flight class B unit, a unit similar to the RoadTrek-190 and Pleasure-Way Lexor body.

The Chevy Leisure Van Free Flight has a permanent bathroom similar to the RoadTrek-210 and the Pleasure-Way Excel, but is not a Wide Body.

It is possible that there are other Class B manufactures similar in body style, as the Free Flight, RT-190, and Pleasure-Way Lexor that also have a Permanent Bath.

The Leisure Travel Van, Free Flight has a Exterior Height of 99"/8'3" and a Interior Height of 71.5"/5'11.5 with no drop floor, Exterior Width with Running Boards is 85"/7'1".

Hopefully RoadTrek has received feed back from RoadTrek owners, and potential customer's looking to purchase a Class B RT-190 with a Permanent Bath similar to the RT-210, and asking RoadTrek to build a RT-190 with a Permanent Bath.

Hopefully RoadTrek is listening to folks asking for a RT-190 with a permanent bath, and they will build a RT-190 with a permanent bath similar to the RT-210

On another note it is my understanding that from year to date, Class A's are down -42.5 %, Class B's are down -27.8%, and Class C's are down -18.7%.

I would say that the reason for decline in Motorized sales is due to the price of Gas, Economy, and the cost of the new Motorized units, as such interest in Motorized RV's have declined.

I think things have changed since 2005. The fact that no one wanted to discuss it, told me that there was something going on. If they do it, I doubt I will be fitting into it. I would imagine they would leave the option for the isle shower, like in the 210.

I did see the new bathroom enclosure in a 190 V. When the bathroom door was opened, it had three panels on the inside that folded out to form a box for privacy.

I'll likely order a new 190P if they make the bath permanent.
