so you think its ok to have to replace a whole wall and a roof on a couple year old unit? thats unacceptable in my book. and i never said i was doing anything with an attorney.. i will give the dealer and manufacture every chance to do the right thing.

Where did I say it is OK? I was just trying to help you out and keep you from doing something on our forums that would get your post locked down from taking some of the advice given earlier. Sorry I responded at all!

Unfortunately I read stories all the time just like your over Forest River Junk. I can't even count all the problems I've read of owners having troubles with their Pop Ups and Hybrids. I've read a few threads of TT owners having troubles with their Forest River campers.

I'm not just saying this, I have also lived it with my 2005 Forest River Rockwood Freedom 2290 Pop Up. Absolute Junk that falls apart. Every trip I had major issues. Finally after the 1 year of ownership I traded to a Starcraft. Night and day difference. There's a reason why Forest River products are cheaper than other makes, because they put less quality in them.

Unfortunately you don't have a legal stand as I wish I could had also! As long as they are fixing the problems under warranty, there's no recourse for buying an inferior built product. People do it everyday in other areas when they buy 'made in China'.

Hope you can get it repaired and then just ditch it on a trade like I did. Learn your lesson and don't make the same mistake again.

Hope it all works out for you in the long run.

Have a good one.

The sloppy repair causing these ongoing issues have nothing to do with manufacture.

The low quality manufacture that caused the original problem have nothing to do with the repairs.

This is a lawyer's dream. Two involved parties blaming each other, no real liability established by either party, think of the billable hours possible.

I go with others here, you got a lemon, and unloading it is your best bet. Minimize your losses now. Once warranty expires, you are going to have to open your wallet, repairs will no longer be covered.

Having been through the same with a Fourwinds trailer, all I can say here is your lucky you got that 2 year warranty.I had to fight ,but in the end they did everything they could do to fix my walls and floor.Forget about a new trailer at this point.RV companies spend more money on small print then they do on perfecting thier products. I lost a lot of time traveling, because of the time it took to fix the delaminated sidewalls. When it came back from factory the first time after 2 months I inspected it before driver left and found 2 new spots seperating and someone forgot to tighten a bunch of bolts on my slide,so it misaligned itself. In the end I ended up trading it because I could. My dealer new of all my issues but still offered me a good trade price.

I wonder if there is a report out there that shows your problems like vehicles?? If not I would try to dump it and hope the dealer you trade it in to doesn't know all the problems unless they are obvious.

Might let forest fix it for now so it looks ok and then dump it.

FWIW we have aowned 2 Forest River units and the only problem I have had was with our current one and the Concertone stereo.

All manuf. will have thier share of problematic Rv`s. it doesn`t matter if it is a $3k PuP or a $1 mill. DP. if you don`t like it anymore trade it. losing the frustration alone would be worth the $$$$ you may lose on a trade.

IMO the dealer is the middle man in this case. They sold the unit, they didn't build it. By the sound of what has to be replaced it will have to go back to the manufacturer as most dealers aren't equipt to handle such a large repair/replacement. With this in mind I'd try to keep the dealer on your side and working for you dealing with the manufacturer. Stand your ground, don't burn any bridges. Good luck with your situation.

If you get so frustrated that you must get out of it there are a couple of little bits of positive I can think of. You now know more about what to check. The market is good for buyers right now too.
Good luck, sorry to hear your frustration.
