I would buy new if I were getting a great deal. I never see that, so I've always bought used. There are a lot of RVs out there that are used very little, and taken care of. I would rather let someone else take the big depriciation hit.

They don't make new "vintage" trailers so it looks like we'd buy used again.

We go to the big RV shows every year and we have only seen one new RV that impressed us and we can't afford it.

Nice but they are made to be plugged in at campgrounds, that's not how we like to camp.

Yeah, it a shame it's not set up for dry camping, but I guess it keeps the cost down. This is just the first one, they are supposed to come out with more models.

Here's another "retro" trailer, the 2009 Serro Scotty.

We brought our fifth wheel new and sold it after two years. Spent part of the first year getting all the bugs worked out of it. I then sold it and bought a diesel motorhome which I could not have afforded new. It was 7 years old and paid about 25% of the original purchase price. My only feedback is to have it checked out ahead of time. If older than 5 years, make sure you get new tires included and plan about $3,000 for things that might not have been caught in the inspections. I feel I got a good deal and would look used again.
