Pretty small unit and kind of old for that price. But you have to remember a fair price is what you are willing to pay for it and be happy with.

Check this place out.www.rallyautomart.com A quick search showed several smaller fifth wheels in that same price range.

I saw one of those Light weight "lifted" campers on the side of the road in PA one time. It was on its side also. The 4x4 truck and camper was hit by cross winds and the driver could not keep the rubber side down. Both the truck and camper were on their sides. It's just something you will need to be carfull of. When you lift somthing you change its center of gravity. You may not affect its tow rating but handling could be a bit scary.JMO
Looks and sounds like a nice unit. See if they will let you hook up and test tow it.

IMHO that's too much for a unit that size and age. Realize all the equipment is close to 12 years old.
NADA says average retail is about $2800 plus options.

That is way too much for that unit. Let the guy sit on it. Consider I got the 1996 trailer in my signature for a bit under half of what that unit costs, and this was two years ago. He would be raking you over the coals with that price.

Again, keep in mind this is a 5th wheel on the Lower Mainland of BC. And that price is reasonable for a unit in nice shape in that area. Especially if it is a quality solar system installed.

In March 2008 I sold our 1992 17.5' fifth wheel for $6,000. The price was fair, really. Sold it very quickly. Local dealer sold similar one to ours last year for $10,000 and there is one presently being sold privately on the Island for more than $10,000.

Canadian prices on used RVs just aren't the same as in the USA.

Smaller "1/2 ton towable" fivers seem to go for more than they are worth.
A lot of people are starting to look for smaller units because of the price of gas, I personanlly don't think it is that much over priced after looking around for at least a year for a smaller one. (provided everything works and it is in excellent shape)
