I have to replace the electric tongue jack on my tt. The one I had failed when I was ready to come home (from an up 'til then) relaxing week of camping. Any recommendations on brands?

We had an "under-sized" Atwood on our trailer that was installed by our dealer. It failed after 1½ years. We replaced it with an UltraFab and have been very pleased with its performance. We purchased it on sale at Camping World and did the install ourselves.

We also have an Ultrafab that has been wonderful. If you search the forums you will see that Ultrafab is popular and has some of the best customer service you can find.

I would go with a 3500 Atwood. I bought the Ultra Fab 3500 last year and it strains every time I use it, never know if it is going to work or not, and this is when it just starts lifting. The Atwood I had worked for years with no problems other than the switch went out after 7 years or so

We previously had an Ultra Fab 3500 and after 2 years it quit, replaced it with an Atwood 3500 and after 4 years still working like new. I am sure there are good and bad units produced by all the manufactures and we have no way of knowing when we purchase them.

I had a Barker that has been on three TT's and going strong for 20 years. I would give the company 5 stars for service and a great jack.

This thread reminds me to make sure the manual crank handle is in the TT somewhere and not in a drawer or cabinet in the garage...
