I had to take my Ultrafab apart and repair the motor brush wire that came un-soldered. Then, while doing that another wire came off the switch and had to be soldered back. I also sealed the top cap with black RTV to keep the water out. Still working after several trips.

We have had our Ultra Fab 3500 for 2 months now. We did have to replace the fusible link almost right off and it is doing good.

Yet another vote for Barker. Whatever brand you get, get a cover for it to protect it from the elements and keep it looking new.

I'll vote for the BARKER also. They are made in OUR Country USA!!!
American Company. Excellent customer service, from what I've seen and read on this Forum. If our Country USA ever needed self support regarding what few real USA manufacturers we have left it is NOW. I bought my Barker 3500VIP on e-bay delivered to my door in 2 days for $212.00. It lifts my TT very easily, 1200#'s tongue weight plus rear of F350. Just MHO.

On this note: I don't earn any MONEY from any other countries, so I spend as little as possible supporting products from them. Always have and always will buy American made when possible.

The problem with these type of posts is that people tend to recommend the brand they own. Very few have experiance with more than one brand. With that being said, my Barker is better than any other brand........I guess.

This thread reminds me to make sure the manual crank handle is in the TT somewhere and not in a drawer or cabinet in the garage...

I agree with your comment.

It seems that everyone has the best because it's the one on their trailer.
