The DW and I have been discussing the use of our RV. So for those that do not full time, and husband and wife work, how many trips do you take. You can total it by total nights, or weekends. Give us all a chance to judge how our own use compares to average.

On average probably two weekends a month. Camping alone probably 4-6 times a year, mostly weekends with normally a 1 week trip thrown in. The rest depends on the racing schedule or how much we want to ride.

We have had summers that we camped every weekend, last summer maybe only 6 times. Depends on what else has to be done. For example we camped the last 3 weekends, this weekend we will spend at home getting ready to have a camp out here. After the camp out here we will be off camping for the next 2 weekends. When camping those next 2 weekends we will ask our camping friends what anyone has planned. If we are interested in going an have nothing we need to get done, there will be more camping before winter.

2003 Jayco 308fbs eagle 33' tt, towed by a 2003 Ram 3500 slt, quad cab dually, cummins diesel ho, trailer towing package, with 6 speed manual. Hauls better 1/2, 3 kids, myself, and a 2003 ez go clays car.. I have added so far, neon lights, clearance lights, back up lights, black light, lift kit, mud tires, and everything necessary to make the golf cart street legal. It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. Just a thought. My wife and I have hit on a solution for the high fuel prices and our need to "go campin'". We found a nice little rv park about twenty miles away from home and we moved our rig there and set it up on a monthly basis. It is kinda like having a resort home away from home. We get to go campin, and even though we aren't far from home we are getting use out of our rig, enjoying the company of other rvers, and we are really enjoying it. You would be surprised how many times we just kinda decide to spend the night there for the fun of it and comute to work the next day. Of course we head out on Friday afternoons and spend the weekend there. We are getting a lot more use out of our rig, and the only thing burning fuel is the Honda!

Been laid off most of the year. So our camping time has suffered greatly. Only got out a handful of times this year.

We camp more during the summer months (DW is a teacher). We were out for 34 nights during the summer. The rest of the year we mostly do weekends with some longer times during holidays. We are out two or three weekends a month. During the winter we store our camper at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. This allows us to camp most weekends during the winter. BIG difference in gas for TV versus DW's car.
