I've noticed several threads dealing with three-wheeled bikes (trikes) and how to carry them when traveling by RV. My wife has been having some medical problems recently, and is having trouble maintaining balance, so I wanted to get her something easier to ride than her Schwinn Sierra. I found some "adult training wheels", called Outriggers, at a place called Fatwheels. I purchased a pair and they look like they will work just fine. The stability is very good, the installation is easy, and they can be removed for storage in the RV while the bike is hooked onto the normal bike rack. If anyone is interested in these, here is the website. The 16" tires are high pressure and are designed for street "racing" style, narrow tire, bikes. The 12" tires are lower pressure and are designed for your normal road bike or mountain bike. They're a little expensive, but cheaper than buying a three-wheeler, and a lot easier to transport. The bike shop owner that I deal with liked them, and said they were very well made and very stable. Just thought this might be of interest to some folks.

Doc,
Sorry to hear about wifes troubles.
If interested, my wife uses a Palmer, see www.palmerind.com, for outdoors and loves it. We tow a toyhauler so transporting is easy.
