Does anyone have any information about the RV RoVer. We have a fifth wheel and feel it would be a great option to double hauling. I think they look cool and fit the bill for easy transprotation however the question is how does it work and Hold up?

Just remember that some CG's may prohibit the use of them.

A couple of other things to consider.

They picture a lady using one on a residential street but would this be considered a street legal in most states or towns? I don't see headlights or brake/taillights/turn signals in the pictures. Will they issue license license plates on this vehicle?

Also make sure that you have a insurance company that will cover these for liability insurance.

It appears to be a gasoline engine, therefore must be licensed and insured. Also, while I thought it a neat way to carry it, beware of being over length. I recall a recent thread on PA cracking down on over length rigs. Looks like a fun rig though.

They were at the FMCA show in St Paul. They do offer both electric and gas versions. Pretty pricey as I recall. Interesting stowage design but did I mention pretty pricey.

If you go to the buy one page they have both a gas #3995 and electric at $4295 little pricey for me but diffinitely usable design.

Thank you for all your information. I guess I need some more education.

- Is this not in the same catagory as a golf cart
We would like it for campground transporation - ie. Disney, Ocean Front
- Do you need to licensed golf carts
- Why does it matter if it is Gas or Electric
- We would like it for campground transporation - ie. Disney, Ocean Front
- How is the price different than a golf cart
- We feel that this would be a safe way to trasport a "cart" with a 5th wheel
- As for headlights or brake/taillights/turn signals we would like to add them the one included does not seem like much
- Why would some campgrounds prohibit these?
- Do some prohibit golf carts?
- Insurance what insurance do golf carts have?

I have alot to learn - please help

"Insurance what insurance do golf carts have?"

The insurance that golf carts should have is liability insurance. Just like your vehicle to protect you for Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability situations where you may cause the accident. Also the insurance defends you if the other party says that you caused the accident and you might be involved in a civil lawsuit.

Comp or collision coverage on the golf cart is not as important since the potential loss is not very high and it is a fixed amount. If your golf cart is worth $5,000 and it is destroyed without any insurance the loss is fixed at that value.

But in a liability situation you do not know what the loss might be. How much will it cost to send a person to the emergency room in a ambulance? What if their injuries are severe and they have to use a medical helicopter. That could be $5,000 to $10,000 by itself depending on the location. What is the cost of a person being in a hospital for several days, etc., etc. What is the value of a vehicle damaged or destroyed by your negligence in the golf cart?

The legal term involved is "proximate cause". That means that if you start the chain of events then you may be liable for all of the losses.
