30 foot wet cable (underground cable). This cable holds up better to the weather.

I have 30 foot and a 50 foot, which is seldom used. There will be a connector, usually on the side of the power pedestle somewhere - sometimes in a separate box, sometimes exposed to the weather. In my case I also have to remember to turn off the power booster on the antenna system, otherwise the cable signal is very snowy.

I have 2 25' and a couple of 6' cables along with several barrell connectors to hook them together just in case.
I was just at one campground the night the Olympics started and no cable signal. I checked the connector barrel mounted to the power pedestal and found their connection had lost all the plastic insulator and figured it had corroded out/eaten by the sun so, I disconnected the cable feed and used one of my barrel's and viola! cable signal, but no HD on the cable feed so I still had to crank up the antenna and get the local OTA HD NBC station to get a pretty picture. The cable worked so we could get weather, etc..

I carry a 25', a 35', a 50' and some barrel connectors. I also use these when I connect my satellite dish.

I have enough to hook to my house & reach my MH whereever it is.
Seriously, I carry about 150', in lengths from 100' to 6', I have only used this much once, when parked at my brothers, at any "normal" campground setup 10-25' should be plenty, but there are always exceptions.
If I were just starting out, I would start with a 10 and a 25', if you run into the exception, there are Wal-Marts on every corner, you can easily get more.

I'm sorry...this just struck me funny...talk about roughing it! No HD on the cable and then having to crank up that antenna! LOL
And I thought I was "roughing it" when we went camping and had to limit ourselves to 30A service.
Thanks for the chuckle, you made my day.
As to the cable...well....I carry 2 25 foot lengths. I used to only carry one, but there was one campground where I needed a bit more, so I bought another 25' length. (Funny how the campground "conveniently had the cable AND the male-to-male (barrel) connectors to make it work. )
So now I have a total of 50' if needed, although I think it's still just been that one campground where we need more than 25'. Apparently somebody had the crazy idea to put the cable connections at the front of each campsite.

We carry two 25' and one 10' with several splitters and a few barrel connectors. Glad I have the splitters because a couple of days ago we were in a campground where the neighbor's cable didn't work so we used my splitter so he could hook up to my pedastel.

I had a 25 fotter when I started. The fist time I used it, I found out it was too short. I went into town and bought a 50 footer, so now I have both.
Interestingly enough, I have never had to use the 50 again.

I carry a 25 foot and a 100 foot. The 100' is on a take up reel like the ones for an electrical extension cord. Have only had to use the 100' a couple of times. I keep the 25 wrapped and tied until I need to hook up. This is usually the one I use. I also keep splitters and barrel connectors as well.
Also on a side note, I'd suggest getting some tools for replacing the end connectors and learn how to use them. Its not very often, but once in a while after quite a bit of use and dampness, a cable will break. The tools aren't expensive and are very simple to use.
