Hello,

Can you please recommend an RV park from personal experience. I am hoping to spend this winter in the area around St. Pete. in a 24' motorhome. I have searched the lists and viewed website ads, but a recommendation from personal experience would be quite helpful. Hookups and not too far inland would work for me.

Thank you.
Ken

Bay Bayou in the south end of Tampa is really nice. My husband and I have stayed there a couple times. I believe they have a coupon on the Woodalls site.

We spent a week at Bay Bayou two years ago in January and found it clean and well kept. Camp on!

We have enjoyed both Dunedin RV Resort and Sherwood Forest RV park both very close together. Clean, friendly people, nice RV snowbirds. Very pleasant at both parks. Handy to St. Pete's, Tampa, Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Springs and both right on the Pinellas Trail, close to beaches, good restaurants, shopping and Blue Jay games.

Avalon RV Resort in Clearwater. Just off US 19 south about one mile north of East Bay.
Avalon has about 250 sites. Half are taken by park Models and the otehr half is made up of RVs. Ages range from 40 on up. Except during Christmas and Spring break there are few children. Plenty of activities for all.
Avalon does not have an official website but you can find info at
http://avalonrv.250free.com/
