All I can add to this is the fact that while on vacation three weeks ago a mechanic for a ford dealer stopped to admire my old truck, and during the short conversation on me going for an upgrade and maybe a diesel, he said "stay away from the 6.0" so have no idea why he thought that, just the fact he said they are not good.

Let it go, own a Dodge, and you'll hear that kind of stuff all the time, I'm used to it, but I'd buy another one.

Don't let em bug ya...my 7.3 PSD may be a good engine, but the trannie has issues(would be better if it were a Allison)
