I'm trying to gather information on the issues the change in profile requirements has created. Did you change the zip code in your profile? (That's the change that I believe triggers the email issue.) What other changes did you make?

Nope, I've never entered a zip code before this is the first time.
I've read thru this whole thread and nobody has mentioned the reasoning for requiring this yet, any ideas???

Consolidating databases is my guess.
Did you enter a zip code? Changing from no zip code to a zip code is a zip code change.
Thanks,
Tom

Zip code is a required field. I had to enter a zip code, no option not to...

Yeah, I was just now trying to add a change to my signature. I got the "address required" BS. I don't need any more junk mail so I guess my signature will stay like it is.

You know, we haven't had an explanation of why they want our snail mail address. It would be appreciated.

The answer I got earlier was "consolidating databases". Doesn't make any sense to me though. Either the mod's don't want to give us the real reason or they just don't know. Somebody knows the real answer but they're not telling anyone which is really pathetic in my opinion.

That is the reason I was given. I could make up a good story if you prefer. I've made no secret of the fact that I don't like it. That said, I've worked very hard to get the process to work. At one point, one could not even change their zip code without having there long-held, valid email address being rejected. OK, I've said more than I wanted to.
