Have you seen the new prevent forest fires ads? The ad has two guys. Smokey Bear (girl's voice) tells them not to start their ATVs. ATVs start forest fires. Then you see a girl with a bicycle instead of Smokey and the guys start pushing the ATVs.
I didn't catch who made the ad, but I don't know of any forest fires started by ATVs. Do you? Looks like another way to limit ATV riding.

It was on a month or 2 ago and caused a big stink then also so I think it got pulled but I guess it's now back.

not saying they cause all fires but if they don't have spark arrestors in the mufflers they can start fires. Motorcycles can do the same in the mountains or the grasslands

I did a search for Smokey Bear and fire and didn't come up with a topic so I started the new topic. Glad someone was alert, but apparently the ad is back. I've seen it twice tonight.

Typical hypocrites. They're great at dictating to us, the great unwashed and unlightened masses, how our public lands are to be used. However, when someone closes off private property and impedes their access, well, that's a different story. It's a textbook case of "Do as I say, not as I do".
And I find it ironic that the Marin county open-border crowd would get so upset over a fence being erected, since one of their main arguments against a secure border is that fences don't work.
