Greetings;
In our Colorado 5th. wheel we have very limited storage space. In the hope to gain more storage room - I plan to remove the fold-out bed portion from our sofa bed and replace it with a storage box; i.e. made of plywood. Then the cusion seat will sit on the box lid.
Pls. let me know if this is a do-able and I welcome any assistance and advise to help me. Serious replies only please.
Thx. in advance,
BB

I guess you could, but the jack-knife style sofa beds already have drawers underneath, and you still get to have both the sofa and the bed. Wouldn't that be easier?

I think a jack knife sofa would solve the problem too.

A cushion on plywood is what is used in rv dinettes.
This is not comfortable long-term.
Would things like the below items help?

We have a short-bed and use one in front of our hitch.
Get measurements before buying a bed box.
