Anybody put on Torklift Stable Load Spring Pads on an F350 to compliment their Air Bags. And to bring back in the Factory overloads. I'm going to purchase this week for my truck.Just looking for opinions.

Joe put them on just after the Tall Pines rally in VA this spring. They were simple to install and did make a marked difference in the air bags engaging.

I started off with just airbags on my F350 and had some problems with uneven ride, the Stable Loads engaged the overload springs and made a big difference, much better ride. Very easy to install too.

I have a set on my Dodge 3500 4x4 and, in addition to the airbags, they do make a difference making the truck and TC much more stable. However, I did have to put spacers in to extend them about an inch so they would engage while the truck is level with the TC on it.

Anyone know why they don't make these for GMC?

I'm not familiar with the GMC/Chevy setup but they probably have a different type of overload spring. These things only work with frame contact overloads which are a separate leaf above the spring pack that contact pads attached to the frame when the level of the truck reaches that point. That is a point that is normally below the point of level so the rear is riding low. Air bags are used to keep the rear level but that means the overloads aren't being utilized so the extenders allow the overload springs to engage at a point that is near level. The GMC may have a progressive overload spring below the spring pack and it may not be necessary to have this sort of thing installed.

I installed the Energy Suspension pads which are pretty much the same thing. Super Springs makes a set as well. They are generally just polyurethane pads that bolt onto the frame contact points. Nothing really fancy about them and they are real easy to install (20 minutes)

They do work like a charm though - well worth the investment if you have air bags on a Ford or Dodge.

I have them installed on a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 and DO NOT have airbags. I had airbags previously on a Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 and didn't think I would need them on the 3500. I was right, I did not need them. I do have a Hellwig anti-sway bar.

I took a 4500 mile trip with the Lance 1030 and the Stable Loads worked great!

Last week, I hooked up the 5th wheel RV (1600 lbs. pin weight)and the Stable Loads engaged just enough so that the truck still sits a little higher than level.

I have only seen one gmc/chevy in my life that has overload springs and the one I did see bought a set and made them work on his truck without to much problems. If you have overloads and want a set a would say buy the and install them like you would on any other truck

I have them along with Timbrens, and have been happy with the ride while hauling our Everest.

Stable Loads are the only modifiction I have done to my 06 Dodge dually. My Lance 981 weighs 4500lbs and I pull a boat with about 300lbs of tongue weight. No problems or other mods needed.
