I have only seen one gmc/chevy in my life that has overload springs and the one I did see bought a set and made them work on his truck without to much problems. If you have overloads and want a set a would say buy the and install them like you would on any other truck

I have an 04 GMC 3500 SRW which is kind of a rarity I guess but it came stock with overloads. (the 04 model year was the first time in many years that GMC made a 1 ton SRW. I don't know if they continued making them after that year.) I will email Torklift and see what they say.

Thanks.

Anybody put on Torklift Stable Load Spring Pads on an F350 to compliment their Air Bags. And to bring back in the Factory overloads. I'm going to purchase this week for my truck.Just looking for opinions.

Check out these Bump Stops at significantly lower cost...have worked excellent on my F-350. I went with the 9104's and the 9109's.

I have the same truck, only Chevy.... I would agree that we are a rareity. We do have the factory overloads. Please post up tork-lift's response regarding the stabil loads for our truck. I would install them if they were available. I imagine we could make them work if we cut them down a little bit. The space between the overload and the pad on our trucks seems to be narrower than on the ford/dodge. Perhaps thats why they don't show an application?

Thanks!

Jon

I've got a set on my F-250 and it made a nice difference. Empty I have an inch or so between the springs and stable loads and don't notice them at all. With everything loaded up they are in light contact and feels nice and stable. 15 minute install using WH-40 and a pair of heavy screwdrivers to pop out the stock bumpers.

Hi Mudmovers and Trvsdad1,

IIRC, someone, I think the Torklift guy (Rob) on NATCOA, said that there was not enough room on a Chevy/GMC for their bumpstops. At least, that's what's in my head. But I could be wrong.

Installed them on my 2008 F350, and they seem to help. Very little side to side sway.

Here is the reply I got to my email to Torklift regarding the stable load for GMC/Chevy. Good news!

Quote:

Hello Roy,

Thanks for writing. We are currently finishing up R & D on the Chevy Stable Load. We anticipate having the parts
available for distribution by the beginning of the year. The part number is A7300.
The part will fit 88-09 Chevy's with over load springs.
Check back with with us in a few months and I will have more details and maybe even photos.

I have a GMC 3500 SRW and i cut 3/8" holes in my overload leaf with a plasma cutter 3" from the ends.I then drilled 4 hockey pucks and used 3/8x1" carriage bolts to mount them. Tom
