I was just reading another thread and it turned into a prospecting thread. I think we need a place to discuss prospecting for RV’ers. Seems there are a lot of us out there. How many plan to be in Arizona this winter digging dirt?

Not Arizona...but we're hoping to make it to California to do some "looking". We're headed to a place in Oregon next week to do some panning. I agree on a thread for prospectors....would be nice.

California really sucks now. The greenies are sewing up almost all the prospecting. Everything else is already claimed. It is really a shame, lots of gold there.

McGoo -- you should look into the Gold Prospectors of America club.....you can still mine on their claims.

I thought we were all supposed to wear old clothes, floppy hats and shuffle around in the dust.... looking over our shoulders for them "claim jumpers".....

Just for reference the "Hemlo" gold strike and the "diamonds" claimed near Wawa were all exposed by rock cuts on the TransCanada highway in the 1960's. No one recognized them for 40 years or so.

Gold truly is "where you find it".
