Call a laywer. I'd be very surprised if the dealer can get away with selling an unsafe vehicle.

Also did you get some sort of inspection report from the dealer showing the state of the vehicle. If it shows brakes in good order they will need to fix the problem.

I have had similar issues with 2 used vehicles I purchased. All it took was a certified letter to the owner of the dealership with the repair costs and what additional costs would be if I had to go to court. Received a check in the mail shortly there after.
Sometimes phone calls and visits to the dealership just don't get you to the right person. (Ya gotta get to the top dog, not the little people that are trying to cover their backside)
Of course I am in CA. It is against the law, in CA anyway to sell an unsafe vehicle. Several dealers told me they replace any brakes that do not have more than 50% wear left. I had to send a letter to one of them though.

Come on I want to know if it was Marks RV also. All you South Florida folks drive as fast as you can past this dealer.

Another useful tool is to inform the Dealer you use these forums. Many of them know that a factual posting about shady practices will cost them a lot more than $7,000.00.

While good will is a marketable commodity, bad will is priceless.

Sometimes forum familarity can be like showing anger. Both can be useful tools if used judiciously.

How come you never see posts such as this before you stop and make a purchase....and just like another thread here, no matter how ridiculous some of the bashing sounds...if there's smoke there's usually a fire somewhere.
Assuming I ever buy again from a dealer, which is the first no no, I will post this dealers name everywhere for comments before I buy.
Have ya ever noticed all the detailed paper work the dealer requires your signature on...well, make sure you get the same from them, with a couple of signatures...then just maybe. I said ...JUST MAYBE!

While I hate it when the first thing someone says is "get a lawyer" but this needs one. First send a certified letter to the selling dealer with your demand, as was suggested. If that doesen't work you need to sue the selling dealer, your lawyer will know what to throw in (loss of use & other additional expenses) I am not sure where you live you may exceed your states statute on small claims $$$, that is why I suggest you may need a civil suit. Remember in a civil proceeding you only need more propenderence of evidence than the dealer
does. There isn't a jury that will side with the dealer, especially if you bring your children to court so your lawyer can point out how their lives as well as the lives of others were put in jeporady.

Document everything, have the shop document everything and seek professional help

Also report the original dealer to the the DMV in the state where he does business

Some of the things you cite sound to me like they may be violations of law, however I am not a lawyer and do not know the law in your state so the key word or phrase is "MAY BE"

I would strongly recommend professional help.. The dealer sold you a dangerous rig it appears.

Also,, You may wish to replace the brake hoses

For those who ask, it was not Marks RV, and North Trail is doing the fixing. This Monday makes it one week since I emailed the general manager four photo's which pretty much prove my case. The only non biased witness who drove the MH was the service manager at the Cat dealer, who said that the brakes were unsafe. I hope that the picture that I posted of the rotor, with the tone rings corroded away, will be sufficient to get the dealer to be fair about this. If not, like what some of you recommended, I will sue the hell out of them. Thanks for your support.

In the past I have found it most effective to walk in with the photos and the court papers. Then we have a little sit down and I explain things as I see them.

Well, at least stay in touch and let us know who you sue, so we can bash them a little on here....or maybe a lot.
