Hi Everyone,

Hey any of you folks with big 5ers know of a good RV park in the Bar Harbor/Penobscot Bay area? We have a 36 foot Select Suites with slide-outs on both sides. We are currently in Nova Scotia on our way down there in the next couple of weeks, and we have been in some awful parks up here.

Appreciate any info, thanks,

Mike

Just got back the 1st of the month from Maine. We stayed at Bar Harbor RV Resort, very nice park, close to everything on the upper end of coast line.

We stayed at Hospitality Woods RV Park. Ellsworth, ME. last fall.www.hospitalitywoodsrvpark.com We were in the lower part. Was quiet and easy in easy out for our HDT and 35 ft trailer. Although there were some pot holes that needed to be filled.

Edit: Re-read you message on the RV parks in Nova Scotia. We were there last summer. Only problem we had was when the wife made reservations she asked for pull-thrus. When we got to three of the parks they all gave us back ins. Worked out okay because all the pull thrus really weren't made for the size rig we have. All pull thrus were to small and would have been very hard to get out of turned around to get out of each park. Otherwise the parks were all just fine. Didn't dislike any of them. Be sure to post on hereon the rv parks you stayed at and what you thought about them.

Stayed at Bar Harbor KOA right on water last year. Highly recommended.

Hi

I would go to Bar Harbor campground. No reservations need. Very nice, friendly and very inexpensive. Closet to Bar Harbor and main entrance to Acadia National Park.

Mt Desert Narrows and Mt Desert Narrows To are under new ownership as of this past winter 2008. Due to a very bad experience we had there this summer, IMHO, I would stay away from them. You can read their reviews on RVParksreview.com. Management is extremely poor.

Bar Harbor KOA is very nice and friendly also, but also very, very expensive. Great sunsets though. We stayed here last year.

Bar Harbor KOA. Fantastic sunsets. Sites are cozy but they do have plenty that will fit your rig.

Another vote for the Bar Harbor KOA (not the inland one). Right at the foot of the bridge, close to the lobster pound, great sunsets.
