Find the link in this forum (around page 8-11) and find how to build Level-Aires. These are air bags that you can make. Each air bag (2) is placed under each wheel, then you inflate both bags at the same time. I just inflate until my wife, which is inside the camper with a flat bubble level inside the refrigerator says thats good, and your all set! I made/built these and they work great!! You can level your TT from side to side easily and exact. No more carrying wood planks or leveling blocks. These are cool!!

Homemade Level air bags & homemade pipeclamp chocks. Click any pic for more pics. If they did leak it could be an issue but I'm pretty confident they are solid.

I camp a lot in PA state parks and have found 3 - 4' sections of 5/4 x 6" deck boards are all I need. These easily fit in the bed of the truck.
I replaced my entire deck a few years back, so I have an endless supply, can't beat the price

Yeah were are you setting up at in Michigan? I have not been to a Michigan State park that required more than 2 blocks, but then I always select a level site on the reservation system. Just curious!

oops...instead of several I meant to say a couple

You're right, the MI reservation descriptions are generally accurate. We had a problem with one site at Metamora Hadley (which I tried about 10 different ways to get postitioned on) and this past weekend we were at Portage Lake/Waterloo where the site sloped down from the road and I wanted to be parallel to the road. BTW, in case anyone was wondering, both state parks are nice with decent lakes for swimming.

I've run across a couple of other options at Hybrid Explorer

1. In their PUX Trading Post, they sell a tandem axle leveling air bag for $145. Here's a link
2. Oz 'n Us has a DIY base for Lynx levelers to keep 'em in place

Don't forget your tires are inflated too!

Either axle will support the trailer so air bag deflation remains theoretical. The more immediate risk is deflating them while still on the stabilizers. That said we've used ours since our first weekend with the trailer in '05 without any issues. The ability to store the easily in a small space is almost as big an advantage as leveling to the millimeter.

A weekend of this eliminated any nagging fears:

Well you are absolutely correct...

However, these air bags are just an added risk of deflation. I’m not trying to put them down or come across that they are a bad thing to have.

They are however a very ingenious tool to have and don’t take up a lot of space to carry around..

Ok, I'll ask this neophyte question. Let's say you use the airbags. How do you know how much air to put in them to level the trailer? Are there levels out there that tell you how many inches you need to raise the trailer?
