Pulsar, I tried that trick and my computer said no DLL name specified.This is about to drive me to drink.

Pulsar , i got the regsvr to work, there is another space in there between the i and the b.However, it still didn't give me my address space back.

I am sorry, I don't know what else to try. (You didn't comment on the View menu idea.)

We have a number of Windows experts on the forum that use IE 7. Perhaps the will come up with an idea.

WEll your major problem is not your missing task bar it is your choice of browsers... Switch to Firefox. problem solved.. IE is not even on my computers any more..

Have you tried pressing F11 to make the address bar appear and disappear?

It has been determined by my nephew that the SP3 download took away my address bar. So I will go to some other devices.Thanks for all the help and support.

There are ways to get it back, but you have to have a computer available somewhere without SP3 on it to do so.
