Has anyone ever heard of mis-alignment causing tire balancing issues or visa versa?

Please Advise

An out of balance tire greatly accelerates wear of suspension components like tie rods, king pins, etc. The sum total of this wear brings on misalignment. The smaller the tire the faster it happens. Misalignment will also cause a tire to wear in a non-uniform manner and lead to balancing issues. "Smoother is better" is our mantra.

Is this on your TV or your TT? I have the wheels balanced on my TT for the same reasons you have them balanced on a TV. They reduce the ware on the components and ease the issues on the rest of the RV. Balancing can remove many issues on a Trailer and a Tow Vehicle/Motorhome.

Chuck, Damon does not align there front ends and Ford won't guaranty them after Damon puts the body on. You need a front end alignment even though that might not be your problem. I almost wore out the front tires before I realized this. It is common knowledge that all new class A motor homes need an alignment. While your there have the tires balanced and checked for flat spots.

YES, in fact tire wear is often the 1st sign of mis-alignment

However this should not affect balance, (though from the driver's seat you might be hard pressed to prove that)

It will affect balance though as the tire wears

NO.
Tire imbalance does not effect alignment.
As already stated, misalignment will cause tire wear, but it shouldn't cause an imbalance condition in the tire.
Why do you ask?

I had the alignment done and also had front tires re-balanced. I test drove and still have what seems to be a balancing issue. I returned to the alignment shop to have them re-check balancing. They showed me that tires are in balance, but both tires are "out of round" (one worse than the other). This out of round condition is supposedly emulating an out of balance condition. The tires are goodyear G670.
I guess, next stop is goodyear dealer. Any suggestions?

Find a tire shop that can shave the tired. A lot of truck tire shops have equipment to shave the tires.

An out of round tire cannot be properly balanced, and will always raise havoc w/ and wear out shocks and other suspension parts.

40 years ago skimming tires was big business, w/ many cars running poorly made tires, crude recaps etc. But anymore, even tho some shops may still skim tires, an out of round tire is considered to be a defective tire, and is subject to be replaced under warranty.
