My 2003 Dodge Ram 3500, has a rear slider window with a plastic latch. The latch just broke and I was informed by Dodge dealer that I must buy an entire new center slider window to get a latch. Does anyone have experience with replacing the plastic latch or know of a source for "cheap" slider window to replace? I would like to maintain the security of having it lock or latch.

here's a link to the 2003 ram parts manual. Look at page 890 of 909.

I looked at a couple of part numbers from the parts manual on dodgeparts.com - they didn't have the part # in the database.

Drop a wooden or plastic dowel in each side bottom track. Cut to fit this will keep the window locked closed.

I broke the one on my 2002 Dodge and had no problem getting the latch from the dealer,I think it was $8 or something like that he also said he sells a few of them because they break easy.
