I have a Wilson trucker antenna and amplifier. Works great. The model amplifier depends on which service you are using.

Go with an external antenna first such as the RV Shorty. If that's not enough you can go with the booster but it is expensive.

I have a Wilson Trucker antenna and just bought a Wilson Signal Booster. Got both from Prime Cellular.

The amplifier I got has a small flat antenna that velcros to the back of the cell phone. The phone has an antenna port but there isn't an adapter available for it that actually clicks into place, so I got the type with the stick on antenna.

It will also work with my USB720 aircard.

I won't be able to test it until we get to a weak signal area this winter sometime. Getting harder to find those week signal areas anymore.

I have the Wilson amplifier http://www.wpsantennas.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2

and the Wilson Truckers antenna. http://www.wpsantennas.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3

I am not sure where I bought these this is just where I googled them this time.

I also got a suction cup thing http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=46134 and use it to mount the antenna only when needed.

This setup works Excellent.

Every time I have used it because of no signal or weak signal I have had Full strength with it hooked up.

The leader in that area is Wilson Electronics. Many options. I have their flat panel interior antenna and 3w amp. Works great. Prime Cellular is a good place to buy.

I have a Wilson set-up permanently mounted in the MH for the cell phone and for the cellular modem. I also have a portable set-up in the dinghy. I added the one in the dinghy after I stopped to help someone and discovered that I didn't have a cell connection and it was miles from the MH. The Wilson amp with an external antenna really works. Where there is no signal, I've always gotten at least one bar after plugging in the amp. It's not a cheap solution, but it's worth every penny when you really need it. This is where I got my stuff:
