I got this recipe off the McCormick web site a few weeks ago and made it for supper tonight. Easy and good so I wanted to share with everyone.

Smothered Chicken

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 package McCormick mushroom gravy mix
1 can (12 oz.) evaporated milk

Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add onion, green pepper, celery; cook and stir 2 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.

Add chicken; cook 5 minutes per side or until browned.

Mix mushroom gravy mix and milk in small bowl. Stir into chicken mixture. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 12 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

I served over cooked egg noodles with a side of green peas.

We all liked it enough to make again.

Sounds wonderful, thanks! I am always looking for something a little different and easy to cook when we stop for the night. Thanks for sharing!

This sounds good and easy too! I think I will try this in the crock pot for a few hours. Don't see why that wouldn't work. Thanks for sharing.

I had also thought of the crockpot. If there is enough liquid I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Hey sounds like a great recipe, but just wondering if anyone tried it in a crockpot yet?

I don't know if anyone has tried it in a crockpot yet. Don't see why you couldn't use the fat free evap milk, I'd give it a try and see what happends.
