The individuals who wanted to stay should have moved to the site with limited connections. You made the reservation. You had a contract with the owners for that spot the other individuals did not, it is no matter how long they had been there. Does no one have any integrity or work ethic anymore? Does our word given mean nothing?

Gotta go with the opinions that you have been put out, but, you have handled it about the best you can. I would have told them I was unhappy right at the start. But, that some token given by them might lessen my anger.
A tantrum, or, leaving with no known alternative woulda been counter-productive. Bite your tongue, look for better accomodations, and bad-mouth them to your friends. Just understand than most any business person would have done the same.
A CG that would force someone (who is set-up, has been paying for 5 months, and is staying another) to move is not exercising good business sense.
The happy pipefitters may come back(or stay) for more months. They may tell friends who would stay for months. A happier you might have come back for more weekends some time.

I guess 'business sense' is a lot more important than business ethics! The very least they could have done is let the OP's party stay for free. Maybe that's not good 'business sense', either, but I bet it would have saved a customer.

Clearly,
The ONLY Correct Answer is:
Make the people MOVE
since YOU Reserved the Specific Lots
&
Demand Compensation for the Inconvenience ...

In the post cut and pasted from stated "I would have told them I was unhappy right at the start. But, that some token given by them might lessen my anger."
The part of my post cut out means that nearly any business will normally do more to keep a $3000 dollar customer happy than a $100 customer. I don't think that is surprising.

We've got to get away from this "it's not worth the hassle" mentality. The owner had a contract with the camper. Period. I'm wth SemperFi.

I would read the fine print first, most CG's have a statement that says site specific "if available". I have had the same problem and and now when I choose a specific site I ask twice and make sure that they cannot jockey you around. You should also get a better price since you were displaced and with no sewer...
