Hello folks,
New guy here who currently has an 18` Tahoe Lite. Family has gotten bigger and so have the toys. (quads and now Jeep) Anyway, came very close to buying an `07 Weekend Warrior LE 3105 or 3305 5th wheel. Stepped out at the last second due to a barrage of people telling me WW`s are not made well, going out of business, etc, etc...I was finally advised to come to this site and learn more. My dilemma is that my wife and I love the floor plan of the LE 3305 and it can hold our new Jeep as well. I`ve seen other trailors with similar floor plans, but now I`m unsure as to quality, etc. Can anybody clarify what gives me the best bang for my buck? Are WW`s really built weak? Help.....Thanks, JW
PS: my truck is a `99 Dodge 2500 Diesel short bed.

Weekend Warrior variousily ran hot and cold with both their customer service (Very good and nonexistant depending on how you ask!) and on their quality (again depending) and both of these things along with poor management led to their untimely demise. All RV's are designed and built by humans, so as always, buyer beware.
It helps to be a bit of a handyman/body shop guy/ plumber/ roofer and a real "Tim the Toolman" kind of guy! Luck seems to be helpful, too! Do your homework and try to buy from an original owner.

You might also try www.rv.org for the RV Consumer Group to see if they can advise you as to quality. It may cost $ for their report if they have one on that unit.

You should be aware, if you're not already, that WW has gone out of business. That is not to speak to the quality (or lack of such - in some people's minds) of their trailers. They are still available on the market as you seem to have an opportunity to buy one. Do your reserach and make your decision with all the facts. Some would look at this as an opportunity second to none to get a WW for a great deal hopefully, while others would use it as a reason to stay away from them. Good luck in your choices.

Found another at a dealer that`s offering a new 2009 WW SL3005 for $34,995. Does that sound low to you?

With gas prices so high, housing problems and many people's incomes not what they used to be, many people are bailing out of motorized toy family recreation, so there are alot of great deals on buggies, atv's, dirtbikes, jet skis, motor homes, and of course the trailers and campers and trucks that go along with camping out with those kind of toys. Check out Craig's List or the RV Trader or Cycle Trader, there are tons of deals on good used stuff right now. I would look there before buying anything new.
