Thanks! That was a thoughtful and entertaining piece, unlike some of the gee-whiz newbie reporter articles we come across. But he does manage to cover some of the basic RV issues, like storage and organization: "After only 12 hours, the inside of our Airstream looks as though somebody threw a stick of dynamite into a Goodwill box." And as the owner of another semi-cult brand, it's always fun to get insights into that mindset.

Thanks for the posting. Nice article.
I don't agree with his comment about being ignored by other "scowling" RV'ers on the road. I don't think it was because he was towing an Airstream. To me this seems to be the case no matter what type/brand of RV you have. Little acknowledgment seems to take place while on the highway. Although, in a pinch many of them will help you out if you have a problem.
I think the average, equivalent sized trailer is actually less than 1/2 the price of an Airstream. More like 1/3.
Nitpicks, still a pretty good article.

As usual, RVs specifically get targeted as endangered due to gas prices. Anybody know what a 737 get per seat in mpg? IMO, a flying family likely uses more fuel than the typical RV family.
