There you go again, mother nature, Ronald Reagan would say. The cold front in the center of the country moving south may be the only thing that pushes Hanna east away from Florida-Georgia. The big problem is the storm is just a T.S. right now but headed to warmer waters of the Gulf Stream currents along coast. Be ready to move south or west away from the land fall area by mid week if your'e full timing in the area. Get battery powered drills charged up for installing storm shutters if you have a home in the storms track. Storm surge may require evacuations along coast. Good time for a trip to the Carolina mountains for fall colors.

IMHO - you're a fool for being there during storm season. I moved my son and his family out of harm's way a few months ago - they'd rather deal with some snow a couple of times a year, than four feet of water in their living room!

Ha! Maybe, maybe not! I am near the blue ridge parkway in western NC and last week the remnants of Fay paid us a visit. Being backed up to a river, I was up until 2am one night ready to move to higher ground! Fortunately the river never over ran the bank. Now watching Hana based on my plans for heading to the NC coast next weekend...

I had a 3 day weekend in Daytona in progress, but when it rained all night, and then I stepped out my 5er into 6 inches of water in the morning, and then another 5 inches of mud(almost lost my shoes), that was it for me. We packed up and came home, not a minute too soon, because more rain was in the forecast. I can't see being isolated to just staying up on my concrete slab the whole stay, or wearing knee high rubber boots, besides that, the mosquitos were large enough to drive my truck. I'm actually glad to be NOT camping this weekend now. Of course I couldn't get any refund for being flooded out,it was a special weekend, you bet it was I explained to the office, at least they could of rented me a canoe to get from my truck to the RV.
