Pay attention-

All of the oil rigs in the gulf were evacuated. All of the refineries were shut down. It is about the hurricane.

It ain't about Walter Cronkite, the idiot who surrendered to the North Vietnamese on the evening news before I got sent to spend three combat tours over there.

15% of nations refining is shutdown so get ready to feel the pain at the pump. Exxon refinery in Baton Rouge is committed to continue to run. Gustav has made a slight turn to the north so that may change.

This refinery is either the largest or 2nd largest refinery in U.S.

Baton Rouge now has gusts of 65 mph with constant winds of 45. Gustav has not yet reached here but is close.

I remember CNN reporters interviewing eye witnesses from the terrible plane crash of Long Island, the reporter asked a gentlemen what he saw when he stated ( he saw OJ driving the plane) followed by dead air followed by we are having some technical difficulties.

HeHe-Tell the news station thanks for the help. Winds 2 miles from my house were reported at gusts of 90.

ExxonMobil still running. Refineries down south have 3 days of gasoline supply on hand and will begin shipping when winds drop below 45 mph.

Lot's of large trees in the mature neihborhoods are down and that aggravates the power situation. Many roofs are losing shingles, including me. Conditions are expected to begin improving in the B.R.area in the next 2 hours.

Governor said 500,000 with out power.

Seems Geraldo is up to his usual excitable self. He spots a stranded person in the water who was tying off a deisel tank to secure it and is himself tethered to a boat and then pulled back aboard. We can see what is going on yet Geraldo tries to scream up way more excitement. Go ahead and give him the silver star and a plaque for always showing up and getting his arteries pumping

I want watch CNN, seems like they are running a political campaign over there but if what your saying is true then they are wrong. In electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange today the price of OIL dropped 4 dollars a barrel on reports that the hurricane didn't do the damage that they were expecting it to do.

It has been down classed to a class 2 for 2 days now... It will NOT be the hurricane of the century...

Good grief...
