Friday after work I hooked up the TT while my wife packed it full of food and supplies. I filled the blank tank about 1/3 of the way up and added the chemicals, that way the water can slosh around on the way to the CG. We get to our full hookup site and I back in and unhook, Then we realize we forgot to buy some steaks to go with the beer I brought so its off to the store we go....

When we return she starts a campfire while I hookup the power, water, sewer, ect. The power and water hookup went fine. When I removed the cap for the sewer drain on the TT I heard GLUG GLUG GLUG and I got SPRAYED with black tank water. First thing I checked the black tank handle and it WAS closed! BOY OH BOY somebody sure got me good! If only I could find the person that fooled me, I SURE WOULD like to have a real good long laugh with them!

I hope everyone had as much "fun" as we did!

Just think what it would have been like if you got sprayed with the "brown" stuff instead of just water and chems.

I installed a blade valve between the end of the drain pipe and cap just to prevent this from happening. I never pull any valve without double thinking everything. This is done because of my errors in the past.

Wasn't me! I SWEAR it wasn't me!

(I posted maybe years ago when I joined this forum that as a kid, my cousins and I used to pull that trick on our parents... well, actually our dads since they were the ones who dumped! Kept us cousins together longer to hang out at the dump station....didn't want to go home!

We had a great time this weekend as well. & I am also sorry for your shower. But it did sound like the scene from the movie RV. I hope you were not covered in fecal matter like Robin Williams was.

I'd be more inclined to think I had a leaking valve , than it being a prank. Can't imagine someone messing around with poopy valves.

That did come to mind actually. At the time though only the black tank had any water in it. And as a test as soon as we got home I got the hose out and completely filled the black tank up and put a bucket under the sewer drain with the cap removed. So far there isn't a drop in the bucket.
