Well, I would like to blame DW, Abby the Dogs, kids in the neighborhood, blinding mid-day sun, etc., but it was ME, who forgot about tail swing, and I clipped the mailbox on the way out for a Labor Day trip. See link below for a look.

Looking for suggestions to buff these scrapes out of the fiberglass as cleanly as possible before applying the touch up paint.

Thanks for your help!

The scratch aint that bad on MH. Body shop probably charge you a couple hundred bucks to fix it.

What I love is the sonic boom comin off the Piper. Now THAT is funny right there. It would have looked realistic if it came off the right spot.

Still funny though.

But where is the "right spot" for a shock wave to attach to a Piper????

On mine, I have used Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser. I have also used Soft Scrub as a rubbing compound. Both have been effective for removing scratches on my rig.

By the looks of the pic it appears it could be wetsanded and buffed out. Unfortunately most detailers aren't experianced it wetsanding so your best bet is probaly a body shop as they are proffessionals in wetsanding and buffing. Just might have to go to a few to find one thats honest enough in doing so rather than telling ya it needs to be painted.

I have had success with 3M 05954 polish, from Napa Auto, and a regular high speed buffer (at low speed) with wool pad on my clearcoated paint.
