I just purchased a Trik-L-Start unit for my 2005 Winnebago Adventurer. The installation instructions states I should connect it to the isolator. Has anyone installed a trik-l-start on this coach before? Where is the isolator?

I did for my Foretravel. Just go across the isolator from house batteries to chassis. It carries a Winnie part number!

Yes I just give them a call and they explained how to hook it up and its a very easy job. You hook it up to your house Batts and your chassis battery. Good Luck Ray---It works great.

The instructions tell you that is ONE OF THE WAYS!! ( not the ONLY way to hook it up)
I hooked mine up directly to the batterys per the instructions!

I bought one...seems to work as advertised. I read what wire goes where...and did it all on the batteries themselves. No hassles, no problems. They want you to run the "negative" wire to a chassis ground. I had none nearby, so I put it on one of the 6V NEG. terminals. Works.

I feel the battery isolator solonoid is the best hook up area.
you have on one side of the solonoid the chassis battery and the other the house battery. One wire to each of the two sides.
The ground wire can be put under the screw that you used to install the trik-l start, if it is screwed into metal.
The advantages of this set up. The trik l start would be out of the elements (normally). and if you happen to have solor power to charge your house battery, it will also maintain the chassis battery. It will also not be exposed to outgassing of the batteries.
Your adventurer I believe is the same as my Journey. A 10 W solor charger to the house battery.
If you have a fully charged battery your solor charger is enough to maintain the house and chassis batteries.
A 2nd 5-10 watt solor charger attatched to the house batteries with spring clips for the winter months might be needed. I got one in case.
Dont confuse the battery isolator solonoid with the chassis battery disconnect solonoid.
A simple meter will identify the two. When you connect the trik l start, disconnect your chassis and house batteries and cover the rooftop solar charger with a piece of cardboard or something.
A 30 minute job and it works like a champ.
