Does anyone have experience camping in or very near Xalapa? If so, please share this information with me. If there is nothing near, how far away is a known facility? Thanks.

Sorry I don't know of any local facility. We are staying at the Emerald Coast Area & Catemaco this winter and this is one of our planned daytrips. We are going to visit the Olmec Head in the anthropological museum of Xalapa & Tenochtitlan another Olmec site.

I have enjoyed a webpage from an expate who lives very close to Veracruz and has considerable information and knowledge of that area. http://www.vivaveracruz.com/blog/ This is his website. He does travel back and forth but owns a house there in Zico.
