In addition to the Wally Warthogs that besmirch the public perception of the average RVer, perhaps these excerpts from the RVUnfriendlyReadMe.txt will help CSpenceFLY and AO_hitech understand.

"...It has been repeatedly demonstrated (in many listed places) that RV'ers' "outraged response promising to avoid the area and spend their tourist dollars elsewhere" is an effective deterent to anti-RV legislation and RV parking bans. The power that has turned the tide in all of these battles has been the united voice of the RV community threatening to spend travel money elsewhere!

The ARVC, which is a National Association of campground owners, is and has been actively promoting local legislation and ordinances which would make public and private overnight parking illegal.

...this database has been created for those who...would prefer to avoid supporting campgrounds who participate in political action which would limit and eliminate RV'ers parking privileges when invited to do so by the owner.

RV owners have become aware that they have the power to stand up to greedy commerical interests whose goal is to redefine and curtail private property rights. City governments and regulatory agencies are listening.

...the problem seems to be getting worse for RVer's---not better...

The author has relied on reports from many sources in creating this database.

PLEASE send all reports of "rvunfriendly" locations to rvunfriendly.com!"

Can't someone post Cracker Barrel pictures for a change? The Walmart camper bashing trolling thread is getting really, really, really, old.

Here you go, my latest Cracker Barrel overnight, with better landscaping than at the most recent campsite:

Has anyone looked at the demographics of this group? Look at it as a positive. There's got to be a way to turn a dollar here? These people are just sitting at the Wal-Mart parking lot an untapped market. Maybe something of a service oriented nature not available at Wal-Mart. Perhaps gourmet dinners served RV side as the sunsets over Wal-Mart or Spa treatments?
Wal*Mart's already getting most of my dollars spent out-of-pocket each year. Between groceries and buying diesel fuel to travel, more of my dollars go to WM than anywhere else. I'm glad to hand them all I can, since they're the lowest priced grocery and diesel fuel source store in the first place......no need to spend anywhere else but the collection plate at church each week.

I'm waiting for the Bank of Wal-Mart, so they can keep my money until I spend it in their stores.

Wood Forest Bank is in the lobby area of most WMs here Rebecca. You can also buy postage stamps, and send packages at the Wood Foest Bank too.

The WM Supercenter nearest me has a Subway restaurant in the lobby as well.

I have a sweet tender nature, however I enjoy sharing my thoughts and opinions.

I'm willing to bet that some Wally Warthogs are responsible for THIS!

Bull, Most places where it is not allowed it's because of city wide ordinance, probably put in place after the local campground owner complained because they couldn't get alllll the money.
As the anonymous posts are on the RV Unfriendly linked site.

All the posts are from commercial RV parks. LMAO!

AHH! FINALLY reached page (15) taking about (20) minutes out of my life to get this far and STILL no pictures!

Actually you're all missing the boat (no not literally). We prefer KMART. Empty spots, cheap stuff (and get to use the Sears card at a high interest rate, to boot) and best of all NO CELEBRITY PHOTOGRAPHERS! Oh, just make sure you park AFTER the manager leaves for the night!

I'm not sure why you would think I don't understand. Just because I don't care one way or the other doesn't mean I don't understand.

We went through the same thing with a campground owner that complained about us parking our RVs and campers at the airport where we skydive. We tend to party at the dropzone. All it took was for someone to explain to the campground owner that he really didn't want us there for our party time.

Yup, that's probably the only one. But it may not really be lost revenue. Would the WWs have gone there otherwise? I think not, but I guess that is for the courts to decide.

Nope, I still don't understand. The act itself harms no one. If, beacause of their actions, someone else does something, then the actions of the someone else are the ones that hurt.

Parking, camping, etc. in a WW parking lot when there is space avaiable for such action hurts no one. It CAN'T, unless you are a camp ground owner and believe they would spend money at your business if they weren't at WW.
