I use a log chain about 8" long that I wrap around the notch in the pin and then padlock it. Total cost if you have to buy the chain and lock is less than $10.
Nothing will stop a determined thief but the purpose of anti-theft devices is to slow them down or delay them so they will move along to something easier to steal.

Invest in a tracking device so if it is stolen, you can find it.

I leave my hitch hanging on the pin and lower the hitch below truck bed level. Then I disconnect the batteries. If they do get it to raise, they can't connect the hitch since the jaws are locked closed around the pin. IF they manage to get around that and steal it; well, that is why I have insurance.

I have the BAL chocks which are lockable. Make 'em drag it, if they wanna steal it. Again just something to slow 'em down.

I guess one could set the landing gear in such a low or high position, then cross-drill a 1/2" hole through each leg and the tubes the legs retract into and insert a class II 1/2" reciever hitch lock through the hole. That, together with a kingpin lock should be enough to frustrate most theives.

I hadnt thought of that -- its an excellent idea! I'm also one of those people who uses multiple methods to try and deter a wanna-be thief in hopes they'll go to the house on either side of me and take one of the completely unsecurred RV's.

A lot of 5th wheels have slotted rims. You could always take a chain and wrap it through the two wheels spokes and lock it that way.
As stated before though, if someone wants to steal it bad enough there is not much that will stop them.
