We have a 2002 Winnie Brave and for some reason our rear tail lights and running lights are not working.. although the headlights, brake lights, blinkers, caution light and backup lights work fine.
We have gone thru the fuses...still not working.
Any one have any ideas?
TIA!

Tessa I am having a similar problem with my red tail lights. Something keeps blowing my fuse for the two big lights. Other lights work fine.
I asked about this at a Workhorse place and they said problems with the rear lights are almost always a result of the towed wiring.
I now know that the symptom of the problem is the blown 10 amp fuse to those two lights. I plan to do some trouble shooting this weekend. Something nails the fuse rather quickly as I replace the fuse, take a half hour drive without the towed, and the fuse is toast. Gonna get some extra fuses this weekend and do some checking.

check the ground on each light. bad ground = no lights need both hot to the light and a good ground.

Are you sure that you have checked all of the fuses? Use a 12V test light and chck both sides of each fuse, than try and get a wiring diagram to determine where the RV maker tied the tail lights in, and what color the wire is. Use your test light to see if there is power. They usually tie the lights in using the vehicle's wiring harness, near the inside of the frame rails in the rear of the MH.

My tail lights and running lights aren't fused--apparently the problem is sometimes in the light switch which doesn't take the load very well.

I had a similar problem, the spring inside the tail light socket was turned slightly shorting out the socket resulting in a blown fuse whenever I turned on the lights. Reset the bulb in the socket and all is well.

I'm not sure if this will help. I have a Workhorse box truck it had the same problem you discribe. The fuse box under the dash was fine all fuses were good. I took the truck to my mechanic there is also a small fuse box under the hood. That was where the blown fuse was located. Hope this helps.

Another thing to check is again at the fuse box, you said the fuses are good but are they getting a good connection to the fuse box. Find the fuse for the running lights and make sure you have power going to one side of the fuse and than to the other side with a test light. Sometimes just pulling the fuse in and out a couple of times will fix a connection problem in that area.
Good Luck!
